How Was Armani Founded?

Giorgio Armani, the founder, is an Italian fashion designer, particularly famous with his menswear collection. He formed the company back in 1975 and by 2001 was acclaimed to be the most successful fashion designer to come out of Italy.

Armani achieved his international breakerthrough by tailoring for numerous Hollywood stars, including Richard Gere in the title role of America Gigolo back in 1980.

Armani designed made-to-measure suits for Christian Bale's character Bruce Wayne in The Dark Knight.
